Infant Program
6 Weeks-12 Months
Infants are attracted to everything. They want to investigate and touch, to taste, to feel, and to see as they learn to use their senses and to become more agile in their movement. The Montessori infant environment is a safe place for exploration- a place where the child has the freedom to move without barriers or fear of being told to stop. As the child explores the prepared environment, he satisfies his natural curiosity and begins to build a sense of confidence in his ability to discover what the world is about. At Plato's Playgrounds our staff will help your child learn some simple sign language to ease the frustration many infants and young toddlers feel at their inability to communicate with the adults around them.
Toddler Program
1 Year Olds
Our Montessori based toddler curriculum supports the physical, cognitive, social and emotional development of each child. Toddlers strengthen speech and language development as well as both fine and gross motor skills as they explore self, family, and the world in which they live. The toddlers learn concentration, coordination, language skills which includes some basic sign language, responsibility, and respect, all of which prepare them well for a successful transition into preschool.
Tyke Program
2 year olds
With a focus on learning to care for themselves, others, and their surroundings, children in our tyke room work on becoming responsible citizens. This responsibility encourages the self awareness needed to transition into our preschool program and also provides our students with immeasurable opportunities for gaining self confidence and taking pride in their work. Our staff is also dedicated to helping parents reach the often frustrating milestone of potty training. When the parents feel confident that their child is ready for this challenge, we ask that they purchase a set of cloth diapers, like fuzzibunz, that our teachers will use to actively begin the training experience at school.
Preschool Program
3 to school ready
As our children get older, they tend to see things that adults find ordinary as very interesting and special. That's why practical life exercises like sorting, pouring, or washing dishes absorb them completely. We recognize this as the beginning of control and coordination of mind and body. That’s why Montessori learning revolves around tangible, hands-on experiences. At Plato's Playgrounds children use concrete materials to learn math; movable alphabet letters to explore language; and cubes, cylinders and other objects to categorize, find spatial relationships, and more.

Schedule Choices:
We only offer full time programs, other than our half day program in our VPK room.
Partial week schedules are not available. Half day is limited to our VPK classes only.
